Monica grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. She comes from a large family and is the oldest & most beloved of her 5 siblings. (It’s on the internet now, so it’s confirmed guys…) In 2015, Monica was ready for new experiences and accepted a position in the Chicagoland Area. Monica is thankful for this move as it brought with it many amazing changes, new friends, new family and lead to her meeting/falling in love with Alex.

Alex grew up in the Chicagoland area and comes from a Greek background. (No, Windex® is not really a cure-all) He is the second of three siblings. Alex works in technology and has a passion for DJing. Alex is known to have bad luck with catching flights, but he got extremely lucky with catching Monica. The wait was long, but Alex is so thankful to now have Monica in his life. He is so glad that she swiped right.

Our first date

Alex asks Monica if she will go to lunch with him. They meet at a restaurant in La Grange. There happens to be a carnival that day and they spend a couple hours riding various rides including the Pirate Ship. They end the night with a Greek festival in Lincoln Park.
One year together

Alex and Monica celebrate one year together by eating dinner in La Grange followed by a few rides on the Pirate Ship.

During their most recent trip to Greece, Alex asked Monica to marry him in a square within the center of Athens. She said YES!
